State Fair beginning to set up

Walking around the Fairgrounds tonight, we start to see preparation kicking into a faster gear:
Temporary structures beginning to sprout
She loves to run up on the stage at the Leinie Lodge - what will her routine be tonight?

And that will be that for our evening walks there
In the outdoor dining area behind O'Gara's

Relaxing in the garden behind the Natural Gas showroom (ah, also behind the WCCO-TV building)

Dancing Queen at the St. Paul Farmers' Market

Usually on Saturdays in the summer, the St. Paul Farmers' Market will have some kind of live music performance.  Today Wynn was really digging the music & decided to express her appreciation:

The crowd was really getting into her routine - clapping for her ... even the musicians gave her a shout-out...

Yes we did put more than a few dollars in the buskers' box...

Mom and Baba are exhausted from painting the bedroom

All the other rooms and hallways in the house have been painted, but we hadn't gotten around to the master bedroom until now - we're doing this one wall in this stencil pattern (the other three walls are white.)  Wynn is off somewhere watching her iPad or something. I can only see orange plus signs when I close my eyes...

Being bored can be good

She's in her IKEA tunnel with her iPad.  This is what worked for her today. Gotta find your own fun however you can - important life lesson!

Hanging out with our friends in St. Paul tonight - all of us have kids so just goofing around in the backyard instead of trying to wrangle our way into one of the fireworks-presentation areas in the downtowns...

Wynn designed this shirt herself, BTW.  And yes, she's holding up a string of Chinese firecrackers that very shortly are going to make a mighty big noise in the alley.

That's nationally-syndicated public-radio-show host John Moe about to set off some explosives. I built the launch platform...
